AI Engineer

You will own the intelligence at the core of Billacle — the models and pipelines that read any invoice, extract 50+ fields with high accuracy, and surface anomalies, fraud and duplicate invoices before a payment ever goes out.

What you'll do

• ✓Build, evaluate and ship document-AI / OCR and extraction models (blended LLM + rules) with confidence scoring.
• ✓Develop anomaly, fraud and duplicate-invoice detection on top of extracted data.
• ✓Own model evaluation, data pipelines, LLM/prompt orchestration and continuous quality improvement.
• ✓Partner with backend to serve models reliably at scale, with fallbacks and observability.

What we're looking for

• ✓5+ years in ML/AI engineering, ideally with document AI, NLP/LLMs or computer vision.
• ✓Strong Python and a track record of taking models from prototype to production.
• ✓Familiarity with LLM orchestration, RAG and rigorous model evaluation.
• ✓Bonus: fintech / invoice / OCR domain, or Indian GST data experience.
